BECU Credit Union which is based in Washington State has announced the arrival of the new University of Washington debit card. Now fans and alumni can show their team spirit every time they make a purchase whether at the game or around town. Here are some highlights of the new card, which is available to all members of the credit union:

The face of the card is a solid gold background with a bright purple “W” in the top right-hand corner. The white outline of a capital W covers much of the left side of the card. Across the center of the card, the words “go huskies” are written in white capital letters. Just underneath this is the account number in raised numbers with the cardholder’s name just below. The MasterCard symbol is found in the lower right hand corner of the card. The back of the card has a place for a signature just above the magnetic stripe, which also contains the CV or security code.

There is no annual fee required to hold the Husky debit card. All residents of the state of Washington are eligible to join BECA Credit Union, so you do not necessarily have to be affiliated with the university in order to apply. No minimum checking account balance is required, nor are there additional service fees for using the card at BECA locations.  Fans who sign up for the Husky credit card have access to free online and telephone banking 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Fraud monitoring is also included at no additional charge.
